We are incredibly lucky on the peninsula to have some of the best restaurants we have ever visited. A real wealth of high quality, innovative and utterly delicious places for a meal.

The Whitehouse Restaurant: The Whitehouse is in the village and about 5 minutes walk from the hotel. It is described as casual fine dining (or fine dining without the need to dress up!). They offer highly sustainable cuisine from local sources and often a menu devised from ingredients foraged earlier in the day. You can be sure that whenever you go, it will be wonderful. Find them here: https://thewhitehouserestaurant.co.uk/ or on 01967 421356.

The Boathouse Restaurant: Nestled on the shores of the Loch on the Kingairloch Estate, the boathouse is a unique experience and one of our favourite locations irrespective of the incredible food. It’s a great general spot for otters and golden eagle, so Peter is often to be found here anyway! The food is ‘flavour driven’, local and totally sustainable. It’s fabulous here and utterly recommended. Find them here: https://www.boathouserestaurant.co.uk/ or on 07496 269 704

The Kilcamb: The Kilcamb is situated on the shore of Loch Sunart just outside Strontian, so about 35-40 minutes from the hotel. It holds 3 AA rosettes and has featured in the Michelin guide for the last 15 years. There are 2 restaurants here. A fine dining restaurant and and a brasserie. Both have an excellent reputation. Mingarry Park: A fab little restaurant just on the outskirts of Acharacle. Much of the produce comes from the estate itself. Great food and very traditional. It’s around an hours drive to get here, but one of our favourites and you get a great view of Ben Resipole. Find them here: https://www.mingarryparkhouse.co.uk/restaurant/dinner/ or on 01967 431202.

Mingary Castle: Something a bit special nestled on the shores outside Kilchoan. We can particularly recommend afternoon tea here. Really super food that is very much fine dining. For dinner you choose from a 5 or 8 course tasting menu, so make sure you’re hungry! It’s a 2 hour drive to Mingary Castle from the hotel, but it’s always beautiful. Find them here: https://mingarycastle.co.uk/dine/ or on 01972 614380.

Bothy Bar: The Bothy Bar is what we would describe as gastropub food. It’s traditional good quality pub food with a Scottish twist. Find them here: https://www.facebook.com/bothybar/?locale=en_GB or on 01967 402029
